Pin polarity difference Meade vs. Celestron?

Hello,
Does anyone know if Meade and Celestron both use center-pin positive polarity when it comes to 12V cords (i.e. cigarette adaptors)? The Celestron does. I have a cord and I don't know if the center pin is positive or not. I got it from a local guy in a scope sale and he can't recall if it was from a Meade or Celestron. Do they share the same plug configuration?

Thanks for any help.

My Meade car adapter cord for the LXD55/75 is center positive. I would check your new adapter for polarity with a volt-ohm meter before using.

also check the size of the plug at the scope. Although they all look pretty much the same, they are in fact a millimeter off from one to another. 90% are of one size, and a few (including the one on my LXD 55 form Meade) is just a bit off, and not compatible.
