My wife will listen to me sometimes and is appreciative of the photos I take. She will even take a brief look through the scope if I make enough of a fuss. But she really has no desire to observe.

My wife will always come out to look (and help round up the kids too). Of course, she's not obsessive about the equipment like I am. She also has better "experiential momory" than I.

The meteor storms a few years back were really great. -- William

Very, very, rarely will my wife come out for a peek, but only if I've got the scope in the backyard. Out to a dark sky site or heaven forbid a star party - forget it.

I got into astronomy first, but my wife has become interested enough that I bought her an Orion 10" Intellescope last year. I go out more than she does, but when we go together (mostly with our club), we have a great time. BTW, she has been secretary of our club for the past three years and does most of the work on the newsletter. My schedule limits me to editing and writing an article once in a while.
