Many people do not know that IC1296 is a 14.8 mag Barred Spiral only 4'to the NW of M57. It shows in many photos. For those that have seen it visually, what is the smallest scope that anyone has spied this elusive galaxy through?

I have been unable to see this galaxy through a 20" classical Cassegrain and a 25" Newtonian although sharper-eyed observing companions have.

I was looking for it last night just before the moon came out, using a 10" SCT from my backyard north of Portland, OR. It kind of came and went - mostly went. I think I may have detected it a couple of times @166x. I plan to revisit it soon under dark skies using more aperature.
