I am just getting into this field and love it...I was wondering how the pictures shown say in anacortes gallery will compare with the view thru the eyepiece. I do know that the color will not be there but what about the size and detail????Thanks Terry

Since night vision operates at rather low resolution, nebulous objects truly remain "fuzzies", even with large apertures. So images of galaxies and nebulae almost always look better than telescopic views. However, the human eye has a much greater dynamic range than an imaging device, so star clusters tend to be more impressive through the eyepiece.
Some color can be seen in bright DSOs like M42 and a number of planetary nebulae but it's pretty much a grey/gray universe otherwise.
