Hi All,

For asteroid/dwarf plant affectionados, the next few months will be exciting as 2 NASA spacecraft explore the final 2 classes of objects in our solar system yet to be visited:- the dwarf planets Ceres and Pluto.

The Dawn mission has just released its first reasonably detailed view of Ceres. Although not yet BTH (better than Hubble) the resolution is similar and should surpass Hubble in the next couple of weeks. More information here:-

New Horizons to Pluto has started its Pluto observations but BTH is not expected for about another month ot so.

Cheers,

Maurice
