ISS - Shuttle Undocked Video

Despite all the gremlins trying to ruin my attempts to catch the recent undocked pass of ISS and STS116, I managed to get the pair just before shadow entry on the first pass after undocking. Manually guiding a 66mm f/6 scope with a PC164 lowlight video camera gives you fresh appreciation for some of the excellent shots others have done.

The 30 (useable) seconds is jerky and starts out of focus, but you can see the separation as the close pair enter the Earth's shadow. Based on replays of NASA TV and running commentary, I estimate the distance at the time at just under 245 meters (800 ft) at a distance of 1100 kilometers (684 Miles).

I put the video (2meg) here:

Great capture Jeff. I've had an attempt in the past and know how incredibly difficult it is to even get anything.
