Hello Guys,

Here's a FRESH image of the sun taken at around 23:35UT (July 16)! The new BIG SUNSPOT AR652 has finally emerged after teasing us from the SOHO Holographic images!

Chris,

Thank you for posting your excellent image of the new (and reportedly powerful) sunspot group AR652. It may end up disrupting a lot of communication on Earth here for several days (possibly weeks?). We look forward to your future images of this interesting group in the future.
