Adam Block Workshop
You still have time to register for a special, one-day, pre-conference workshop conducted by renowned imager Adam Block. It will take place on Thursday, July 22, 2010 and is sponsored by AstroPhoto Insight Magazine.
Adam Block's four-day "Making Every Pixel Count" workshops demonstrate tools and techniques that improve proficiency in processing astronomical CCD images. In this one-day program, he will highlight critical ideas and choices that cover both fundamental data reduction in CCDWare's CCDStack as well as artistic considerations when using Adobe Photoshop. Many of these techniques address typical issues such as gradients, stellar artifacts, smoothing, and handling "weird" data.
Adam is also speaking at the Midwest Astro-Imaging Conference on the following Saturday (see previous post).
Due to capacity of the tiered classroom used for the workshop, registration is limited to the first 50 attendees. Additional information is available here: http://mwaic.com/story/2010-adam-block-workshop
