$550 for Swarovski 7x42s with no coatings?

I saw a listing on eBay by a pawn shop selling a set of Swarovski SLC 7x42s which have no coatings for $550... Anyone have any advice there? Their review mentions that they still provide great images.

Not sure that you would not be better off getting a newer model with good coatings.
They could be out of collimation and any other issues that you cannot know about.

I just bought a set of Vortex Viper HD 8x42 binoculars that are rated about as good. They are made in Japan by an American company with a lifetime "NO FAULT" unconditional transferable warranty. The cost was $590 including over night free FEDEX from Eagle Optics.
These have the latest coatings and use ED glass and BK4 prisms.

I will get them on Thursday and give them a try. Let you know what I think.
