Notwithstanding NASA cooking the data and storms breaking up the ice, it seems the Arctic is warming nonetheless!

Robert, interesting article. More bad news for the planet. This warming is going to have a serious impact on aquatic and arctic species. Of course we'll be screwed too.

We need a good dose of asteroid dust or a massive volcano eruption to cool things down.

I've gotta give credit where credit is due: at least we're looking at a temperature proxy here. That's more meaningful than ice.

It gets old talking about arctic sea-ice extent at any one instant in time as if it's the climate indicator when there are a half-dozen different things that affect it. When it's continuously below freezing and people are yelling "OMG the ice is melting!" it makes me have to keep reminding people to look at a thermometer.
