It is well known that malaria is a significant problem in some parts of the world, but did you know that it is Global Warming that causes the spread of malaria!!!

KOLKATA, India—After the fumigation of the streets and a leafleting campaign, people turn up at one of the 60 state-run clinics for malaria treatment, 2004. About 160,000 people die every year from the effects of global warming, which include malaria and malnutrition. This number could nearly double by 2020.

Oddly, one of the possible outcomes of global warming (man made or not) that is frequently overlooked is the proliferation of deseases that thrive in warmer climates. I wonder if biologists have , as a group, considered the implications....

No, I'm pretty sure this disaster is Rachel Carson's. Algore can't claim this one as his own, Rachel had more writing talent in her little finger than Al has in his whole $100M AGW equity growth enterprise. She really was a master of seductively beautiful prose. Unprecedented, really.
