Fukushima 1000+ times worse than thought!!!

Crazy stuff!! Storing hundreds and hundreds of ginormous vats of radioactive water; one off which just recently leaked

I saw something about that... they go through about 400 tons of cooling water a day, it has to be stored since it is radio-active. Apparently they need to build a storage tank with a capacity of 1000 tons of water every 2 days... that's a cylinder about 35 feet tall, 35 feet in diameter.

There are currently a 1000 tanks, these tanks have plastic seals, they need to last 300 years or so.... one is already leaking.

It seems like contingency planning for an accident was not in place... it does not speak well for the industry as a whole. If you are playing with stuff that is so potentially dangerous, you need to be prepared for every eventuality...

It seems like they were relying on crossed fingers.
