Rod, I read this, but I thought there was probably more to the story than the headlines suggested. Usually, when a plane rolls to a stop, everyone pops out of their seat to get their overhead baggage even though it will be some time before they are able to move forward. They are usually not even listening to whatever the pilot says. I suspect that the people booing were just under the impression that someone was getting special treatment, without knowing the full reason. Of course, if they did know and still booed, that is deplorable behavior. cwy

This relates: I attended a workshop at my alma mater, the University of Rochester, NY. To get acquainted, we were each asked to say a few intro words regarding our background and reason for being there. I mentioned that I had three degrees from the University, had served in the military, my son in the Army Reserves and my daughter on active duty flying combat in the Middle East. Even in this Small, intimate class... I heard soto voce sighs and boos?! And during the 5 days, it was patently clear that the teacher, to put it mildly, disliked me! Our campuses have been taken over by hostile, intolerant, left wing crazies!
