Green lasers-will they be outlawed?

I've been reading some news articles this week about a mysterious green laser that shone into the cockpits of a couple of aircraft, I believe it was in the Cleveland area. It is being looked at as a possible terrorist-related event, but I wonder, with the increasing number of these lasers being used by amateur astronomers, if this could have been just an incidental "exposure" caused by one of us pointing out a constellation or something.

It also occurred to me that these lasers may be banned if it is decided that they are a threat to aircraft. Better get yours while you can!

Here in Arizona we have a lot of F16's and Warthogs flying around. Frankly I wouldn't even consider pointing ANY laser at them. You just might get more than you bargined for in return.
