Radical Animal Rescue Groups

Some animal rescue groups take things too far and demand tons of personal information, visits to your home prior to allowing you to adopt an animal, and follow up visits after you adopt an animal. I think that kind of behavior is intrusive, unwarranted, and based upon an presumption of guilt. It also keeps animals in rescue group custody for too long which prevents them from getting to the pound in time to spare additional animals from being euthanized.

Here is an incident involving a celebrity who patronized such a rescue group and tried to do right by the dog she rescued.

Of course, nobody can tell the rescue missionaries that they are crazy.

I have several telescopes, but none are semi-APO, APO, or in anyway valuable.

A friend of mine was trying to give away some kittens for free. He had several takers...some of which were people who owned large snakes and wanted the kittens to feed their snakes! He decided to not give them away for free and had to charge a nominal fee to keep the snake lovers at bay. What with the Michael Vicks of the world, maybe a little background information on would be pet owners is a good idea.

Why would someone even go to such a organization if they could simply go to the pound and adopt a pet for the price of a license and "fixing"? I have five "Pound Pets" (3 dogs and 2 cats)and they are the greatest!
I also have a third cat who adopted me! grin
