Today, I picked up a circa 1948 Ranger flashlight at the thrift store for $1.99. Unfortunately, it did not work when I put in batteries. At my wife's suggestion, I went to the drugstore and bought a two-pack of American-made plastic Eveready 2D-cell powered flashlights. The bulb and reflector assembly were a direct fit, no tools required, drop in replacement for the bulb and reflector in the original circa 1948 flashlight. Pretty cool!

I have several telescopes, but none are semi-APO, APO, or in anyway valuable.
