Hi,
Granted this is definetly "off-topic", but if Ohio State flies than this should be allowed in the airspace.
I'm starting up a 40 gallon saltwater tank. I have good canister filter, protein skimmer, and am planning to purchase water...so in that regard I hope I am well set.
My question mainly concerns fish...what sort of fish can one mix? My parameters are primarily cost and selecing fish that are hardy...I don't really want to spend more than 20-25 on any given fish. Damsels seems to have a good combination of color/low cost...however, I've heard they can be quite aggressive...is it ok to have a group of them? I'd love to have a Puffer (the kind with the spines...but fear 40 gallons is too small and also that it will attack other fish. Yellow Tang? Does anyone have a suggestion of a fish combo (#'s of fish) that may work well?
By the way...I've seen some extraordinary reef tanks and my are they beautiful. I'm certainly not ready for such an endeavor, but I'd imagine the same type of peronality that would find astronomy intriguing woul also enjoy the attention to detail such a tank requires.
Thanks, Tony
