I just had a bit of correspondence with a fellow about a mirror. smile He posted a picture of it covered with dirt, fingerprints and possible scratches with glue on the backside. When I asked about the condition and my concern that it was scratched due to the poor condition shown on the picture, he thought I was being too critical! 8O I mean, if you don't take any care of the item and let it get covered with dirt and fingerprints, you would think that a person would wonder about the actual condition of the coatings under all that dirt. wink
Oh well, I guess that I can not tell some one what to do or how to represent something or even how to take care of their belongings. But it sure seems to me that anyone would ask the same type of questions that I did. I guess maybe I am a little picky about my purchases, but hey, you have to be careful right?
I mean, look at the pictures of my 2 flats I just sent off for re coating, would you want to buy them in that condition? Hehe, I doubt that you would want to or at least you would ask some questions about them. 8)

What, have you been using those as a buffing wheel? wink

I agree with you @ sellers. Sometimes I think I'll find a literal polished turd on eBay, with someone standing by ready to bid $100,000,000 for it!

I laughed so hard when I read your post--it is so true!! This isn't related to astromart, but I thought you might find it funny:

I used to work for a car sales magazine called the Auto Trader (Trader Magazines). One day I went to this guy's house to take a picture of his VW bug for his classified ad. When I arrived, he was asleep and his car was nowhere to be found. After several knocks the guy comes out and pushes his car out of his garage, the car being covered with thick, dried mud. The passenger side had a HUGE smashed side, from tire to tire and about halfway into the passenger seat, and NO door. So the guy tells me to take a picture of the good side so that people couldn't see the dent in the picture (yes, he really can do that)!!! I asked him if he really believed that people would come out and buy his car NOT knowing that it was totaled (his ad read: "needs work" LOL). He just gave me a blank look, paid me and walked back into the house.

I couldn't stop laughing as I drove away and pictured someone driving all the way out to his house to look at a car that they didn't know was thrashed, and the fury that they would rain upon him for his dishonest ad!!

Peace,

Chris
