I was giving some thought recently to how an intelligent black woman might be inclined to view the world. She would have no sense of a 'racial identity', but would realize that there are individuals who are inclined to think negatively of her because of skin color. This is not something that troubles her immensely; she simple realizes that this is the way things are and the only thing she can do about it is to try to treat everyone with dignity, and hope that by doing so, it will affect someone to change their negative view. She is pretty much at peace with the world.
