I was up at Hopkins at the MMT Thursday for an interview. It was about 60 degrees down in the valley with a little wind. As I climbed up the mountain the temperature started to drop.
By the time I got up to the MMT it was 32 degrees and the wind must have been hitting 60 miles per hour. I parked next to the fence (three feet the other side of the fence and it's down about 1000 ft.). When I got out of the SUV it was rocking back and forth from the wind. I could just see the vehicle blowing over the ridge so I moved it toward the middle of the parking lot.
Everybody inside the building was wearing heavy jackets (there are only three heated rooms). It was like a refrigerator in there!
