Exclusive: President Obama Says Voter Anger, Frustration Key to Republican Victory in Massachusetts Senate

http://abcnews.go.com/WN/Politics/president-obama-scott-brown-massachusetts-victory/story?id=9611222

Money quotes:

"The president also said the same voter anger that swept him into office in 2008 carried Brown into office on a stunning upset victory Tuesday night over heavily favored Democrat Martha Coakley."

"People are angry and they are frustrated. Not just because of what's happened in the last year or two years, but what's happened over the last eight years."

"I think point number two is that it is very important to look at the substance of this package and for the American people to understand that a lot of the fear mongering around this bill isn't true,"

Interesting that the reason we (the electorate) don't support Health Care is because were angry at Bush, Angry because were a bunch of teabagers, are stupid enough to buy into Palins death panels, and just don't know whats in the bill (he has a point there, the bill has been pushed through under the cloak of darkness). Not an ounce of introspection that he Reid and Pelosi have attempted to push this through in a way that has lost the faith of a large portion of the American people along the way.

My last question would be if last night was not a mandate and was simply anger fueled by the last eight years, just like your election, why in the heck did you assume your election was the will of the people mandating you to rebuild large chunks of the US in your image. Sheeesh.

BTW I do think Obama gets style points for telling his party to wait until Brown is seated to move forward on HC. It's the right thing to do and it makes me think that even he believes the American public wouldn't have a stomach for it. Good move.

I hope Obama spends lots of time this year personally campaigning HARD for each and every democrat up for election this fall. Not only for the effect of his reverse-polarity coat tails, but it would keep him too busy to spend much time further 'improving' the economy. There is only so much of his help we can stand before it falls apart entirely.

Those are two stunningly naive quotes. What Obama just said is that the same anger at Bush that got him (Obama) elected is the same anger that got Brown, a Republican far more conservative than Bush, elected. The illogic shines as brightly as a lighthouse beacon. And these quotes are not taken out of context, I heard the soundbites yesterday.
