It's typical of Rich to accuse the other side of being just as bad, as if that somehow excuses Trump's corruption. When we all know the reality is that Trump's corruption is far worse and more blatant, and most of the attacks on the Biden family are entirely politically motivated nothing-burgers. The Bidens and Hunter were investigated to death, and nothing was ever filed except for some ridiculously minor charges against Hunter. I'm not saying the Bidens are squeaky clean; obviously, they are not, but compared to what we are seeing with Trump and his family, it's a night-and-day difference. Just wait until 2026, and the Democrats will control the House. The entire Trump administration, past and present, is going to spend so much time testifying in Congress, they won't be able to do any more damage for two more years. That's really the only bright spot we have to look forward to. Trump is effectively already a lame duck, but he will be one under almost constant investigation after the 2026 general election. Honestly, I think it may always have been part of their strategy to come into office and rush through as many of their radical policies as they could, because they knew they would be unpopular and that public opinion would shift quickly, so they only had two years at most to get them done.

I totally understand your point James, the Trump corruption does appear to be of an unprecedented scale. 

Even so, Hunter was not charged with more serious crimes because of political interference.  The crimes he was charged with were certainly not "nothing burgers."  You and I would be doing years in the federal system if we had committed any of Hunter's well documented tax, weapons, or drug crimes.  He was also obviously was the beneficiary of large scale graft.  10% for the "big guy is at the very least problematic, and remains unexplained as of today and forever because of the pardons.  

Please note that I do not think any of the above mitigates the Trump family corruption one iota.  I do think, for what it is worth, that your phrasing above that seemingly semi-sorta absolves Hunter diminishes your real point.  Jim

No so fast, Jim. Didn't the judge on Hunter Biden's case agree to the stipulations on a plea deal arranged by prosecutors only to rescind it at the last moment and way before any pardons appeared on the horizon?

I also recognize you have a special disdain for Hunter and the Biden family in general. However, if Rich truly cared about values and integrity, and we all know he doesn't because he is simply a party cheerleader and apologist, then he would be a hundred times more appalled at the behavior of Trump and his family when compared to that of the Bidens. He dropped out, and I, for one, am happy about it. Reputation and integrity matter; some things matter more than winning, and I want Democrats to hold their side to a high standard.
