Trump Gave A State Fair Nobody Came

Trump said there were 45,000 people to hear his opening speech. Estimates put it at more like 1,000 with people walking out during it. Kind of sad really. I doubt Trumps ever been to a real state fair. I graduated HS during the bicentennial and it was a much bigger deal than what this 250th anniversary seems to be.

I was in San Diego for the 4th of July in 1976 and that was a really good party. We were on bikes and rode them along the beach all the way from La Jolla to the harbor. Numerous bands were playing on the decks of beach houses and folks were having a lot of fun everywhere. Saw the Star of India on it's first sailing in the harbor after being refurbished. Called my folks back in Michigan from a payphone and they saw it live on TV.
