Asteroids

I was looking at data from 11-30-13 from IC405 and noticed that I seem to show 5 asteroids. 4 are small, but the one looks quite large. I am wondering if anyone has some information on how to track down an asteroid by time and location.

I did try my Starry Night 6 Pro that has asteroids and I had it show as many as it had, but they do not show up. I am sure there are many that are not in that database.

Floyd,
I don't know if this will help or not:

Hi Floyd,
I use the IAU Minor Planet Center for both comets and asteroids. They can be found at
http://www.minorplanetcenter.net...There are pages for minor planets-asteroids and comets.

I make a practice of aligning images then flick through them looking for things that move and change. Like you I've rediscovered several asteroids and many other interesting objects like planetary nebula. Its very exciting! smile
