This one is the Cat's Eye. Taken last night with the full moon. It was just over 90 degrees from the moon, so there shouldn't have been any direct light going in, but it was REALLY bright out there. 6nm Ha filter and 6 minute subs. (Rats - Turns out the core is still saturated.) Again, no declination guiding and good tracking by the end of the E-W tweaks on the wedge. There are 12 subs, and the flat was that of the luminance filter - wrong one, but that is what there was. Might be worth figuring out how to combine different exposures, since I think I could go much longer than 6 minutes now to get that outside part. Lots of smoothing in the dark areas.

nice... this one would be easy to layer in short exp. given the sharp transition. You've got the hard part done!

Neat object!

Looks like you have your alignment dialed in well. I've shot some subs on M57 that looked pretty well saturated,it's a bright little sucker! I went real easy with the stretching to keep it from blowing out the highlights.

Nice capture Charlie. Like Mike says, the hard part is done if you want to go back and get some shorter subs.
