Hello all, I've been Googling around and haven't had much luck. Is there an affordable alternative to the HyperStar 3 lens for an 8" Celestron? Is the lens absolutely necessary? Can something be rigged up or machined or 3D printed... Gorilla tape? ;-)

I did mean it as a serious question. Is there an alternative product to the HyperStar 3 for the C8? I find it hard to believe there are so many manufacturers of EPs, filters, dew heaters, mounts, tripods, cables, dovetails, finderscopes, etc., etc. and only one offering for a FASTAR C8 camera hookup.
