Hi All, Here is my offering of the Lagoon Nebula taken with a Meade 16" @ f/6.3. (7 X 5min) total time with a modded Canon XTi. Stacked in DS and processed in PS7. Auto guider is DOA so it was manually guided. Image taken at the Veen observatory.

Thanks for looking!

Joe

Beautiful close up view! I guess the mod'ed XTi has no trouble with red.

Real men guide with their hands.

Manual guiding?!?!? That's great for 5 minutes. Were you looking through an eyepiece? And did you have any PEC help? With the local 16" there are some parts of the period where a minute might be OK unguided, but anything longer would be a big squiggle. And I know if I tried to tweak with the buttons, it would likely just get worse.
