Of 1.5 hours of taking data a few nights ago, including LRGB, the first 24 minutes of Ha are all that were worthwhile. So... I will try to get some color one of these days. Processing was just an unsharp sharpen and "logarithmatize" of the histogram in AstroArt.

Does this one count as low hanging fruit? There are SOOO many things out there to take pictures of...

Ha images are cool - B&W or combined into color - just amazing how much detail is there to grab!

Nice image and we hope to see more!

Keep going - the sky is calling!

Hi Charles,

Sometimes we gotta run with what we have. I thought I was all set last night myself, but my first image was ruined by clouds. And clouds just kept coming.... sad

Nice job with this one, and yes, it's a low-hanging fruit --- unless you're close to or south of the equator! grin

Nice image, Charlie. Yes, this is a low hanging fruit. Even in south central Texas, this object never gets up too high above the southern horizon. The highest it's gotten is around 40 degrees. And yes, it's been shot to death, but it's just amazing how everyone keeps returning to it year after year. It certainly is a summer favorite, be it visual, sketching or imaging. Keep at it. I look forward to seeing your color image.

Nice one Charlie! There is the whole sky out there to keep us busy this summer.
