Well, I broke down and bought a new desktop computer so that I could run CS5 extended 64 bit. I got a deal on CS5 Extended, so I figured I would get a desktop to go with the new Laptop Win7 64 bit.
I got a new Dell XPS 8300, loaded with everything. Intel I-7 3.4 ghz quad core, 16 gigs of ram, 2 tb hard drive and a NVidia 2 gig GTX 560ti 1 gig video card. It was a good deal really, with a lot of discounts and free shipping. I wanted to get a new one, it had been almost 6 years since I last bought one and I wanted to get something that would stay current for a while.
I really wanted CS5 for the newest stuff that it has and the ability to work with 32 bit files. Plus I wanted speed, so the actions and all would not take so long to finish. I have been using CS2 for quite a while and I love the program, so it was time to upgrade and get modern.
