Hi All,
I've been having lots of fun with the new HDRWavelets process in PixInsight, practicing on older images including a California Nebula that was one of my favorites. Actually, the application itself combined with the excellent Pixinsight tutorials have really opened my eyes to an entirely different approach to processing nebula; rather than going for the greatest extent and billowy, well, nebulosity I now find it far more interesting to try and peer through the curtain and find the structures that lie within. I must say that quite quickly PixInsight has become my program of choice for almost all post-processing.
I'm curiuous if any of you think this is an improvement. My own opinion actually varies with the monitor the images are viewed on. All comments and suggestions are appreciated. Old and new images are here (requires some scrolling):

Thanks for looking,
