hi greg,

congrats on the huge amount of details in the periphery of the nebula!
it looks very natural.
very nicely done.
but if I may:
I miss a bit of blue in the certain regions of the nebula and the background "suffers" of hot pix.
and if You look at the histogramme You find a bit of clipping.
I understand stl11000xcm is a one shot color cam - is it? did You have to strech the images much or did not take darkframes?
best regards
Dietmar

clear skies, guys!

Thanks Dietmar,

On my monitor the noise didn't show up particularly but now you point it out it does.

What happened was my darks library was set for -15C but it was a warm night and the camera only went to -12.7C. Apparently this is enough of a difference for it not to match.

So I will shoot some darks at -12.7C and redo them. If necessary I can use adaptive darks in Images Plus to match them more accurately.

As for the blue there may be a slight loss of blue and I'll check into that. Perhaps too much stretching in the early stages of stacking.

Greg.
