Hi all -
I've been very impressed by the comet images that have been posted, so I though I would give it a try with my 1972 Questar 3.5 Duplex. My first effort two nights ago with my Lumenera camera was OK, but I thought it might work better if I could find a way to take a longer exposures.
Attached is my second attempt. This was taken with a Canon Digital Rebel through the axial port of the Questar, with one 2x barlow in the imaging train. This is one 30 second exposure (polar aligned and using the Questar Powerguide II drive), with a bit of post-processing in Photoshop. I think is about all I can get out of 3.5".
Comments and suggestions welcome!
Best regards,
Paul Schroeder
