Here is my fist Saturn image using a ToUcam and FS 152 scope.

I had it set as follows;
Image controls set to;
25 frames per second
brightness about 40%
saturation -full,
gamma - zero
contrast 50%

camera controls set to;
gain zero
shutter speed 1/25th sec.
auto white balance

It was 3900 frames.

Processed using planetary wizard in K3CCD tools.

Suggestions? It seems not that sharp yet the visual view was stunning and excellent seeing.

TV 2X barlow used as well.

Thanks Greg.

Greg, the only thing about the settings that stands out as unusual to me is the fps rate--25 fps results in loss of resolution with the Toucam. Stick to 5 or 10 fps instead.

Great advice, thanks. How do you set RAW mode? I can't see that in any dialog box in VR Record.

Also do you set it to 640 x 480 output size in the video format dialog box? Also the colour space/compression choices are either 1420 or IYUV whatever that means. Which is best?

Thanks very much for your help.

Greg.

Hello,
Try 10 FPS and use around 40% gain, adjusting shutter speed to get the best view on the screen possible. Focus, focus, focus.
