May I ask a question of the laptop gurus?
I have a Compaq Armada 1750 laptop (PII-300). It was plugged into port replicator with powered USB hub (optical mouse and zip drive attached), keyboard and speakers attached. I was running WIN 2000. It locked up. No programs other than windows were running at the time. When I finally gave up and flipped the power switch, it refused to boot. It will start POST, complete memory check, burp the HD and FD and then stop. There is no beep signifying end of POST. The screed has the Compaq name and "196608 KB OK"
I have tried removing FD, HD, docked, undocked, on batteries and on AC power. I get the same results each time.
Any ideas or suggestions?
TIA,
Chuck Taylor
