Hi all,
I always wanted to try this on m42. It was low in the sky so I did't have too much time. Taken with a Televue Genesis SDF at f5, Schuler 10nm filters and a ST8-E. Processed in MaximDL and PaintshopPro. I didn't try too hard to get the core out.
The blue/grren halos occurred in the OIII image not the H alpha .. I have no idea why.
