Does anyone have any info on the Meade Deep Sky Imager? It is advertised in the new issue of S&T that I received this week. The sample photos they show are very impressive for a camera costing only $300, plus it does color in just one exposure.
I contacted a dealer (Astronomics) and they said there is no announced release date yet, but they are taking pre-orders.
I've been wanting to get into deep sky photography for some time, but the price on a decent CCD has been an obstacle so far. So I'm definitely curious if this camera is as good as it seems.
