Well, this is my first attempt at shooting pics through a webcam, a Logitech Quickcam 4000. The photo was taken through a modest 150mm Intes Mak at f22 under mediocre seeing conditions. Registax was used to stack the 328 images into four groups, and then into one image. Editing was done in Jasc Paint Shop Pro 8. I have a long ways to go learning the processing techniques. Anyone else use Paint Shop Pro? Any tips?

Clear skies,
Mark Hansen

Hi Mark,

For a first image that is very good , if you keep at it and
get your planet images on par with your DSO images you
will put us all to shame :>)

Thanks,

Hi Mark.

Excellent first try. I use Paint Shop Pro as well and I find it to be quite useful. I like the interface better than Photo Shop for some of my processing. I find, however, that I do most of my processing right in Registax. I only do minor tweaks using Paint Shop Pro or Photo Shop.

All the best in the new year.

Derrick.
