Been doing basic research on capturing (near) Infrared images with a digital camera. Turns out it is possible with proper filters (R72) and some post processing work. This is very new territory for me, so I may be way off base with this line of thought. But, I'm curious to find out if anyone in the group has tried this on astro-photos and what were your results. Seems to me it would be limited to very bright objects, lunar or planetary just to burn through the filter. But if it works, the results could be interesting. Thanks in advance, appreciate your comments.
