Question about digital imaging software???

How good of program is Microsoft picture it Digital Image Pro v.7.0 for editing astro photos, I know you can not compare it to PhotoShop v7.0 but will it work good enough to get some detail from my pics? Also I am going to try a webcam,what software should I use with that,I have a copy of registax but I do not have the cam yet to be able to use it, would I be able to use the microsoft software?

Hi Chris,

while the M$ is too bad (IMHO) and Photoshop is an expensive overkill (IMHO) I would suggest using

Paint Shop Pro from JASC.

You can download it check it out for free. When you finally like it (and I am sure you will) you can pay a shareware fee.
