RegiStax 2 problem

Got a new computer with Win XP like the old one. Have installed both registax and registax 2, but when I try to load .avi into it, a message pops up saying: “Failed to start AVI decompression” and then another one saying: “access violation at address 004033FA in module ‘RegiStax2D.exe’. Read of address 00000000.”

What does this mean and how can I get RegiStax to work properly?

Hello Peter,
first of all: does it happen with both reg and reg2?

I had the same problem a couple fo times, but only with reg2. I went back to opening the same file and it always worked the second time around. The only other thing I can think about is to update your winxp.
