I own both quickcams. Just a quick comparison between both quickcams. In summary, QC4K produces more noise and delivers less outstanding result compared to ToUcam Pro.

Hi Chote,
I couldn't read the Thai but as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. I am currently using a handheld digital camera for lunar and planetary pix. (No clock drive) I want to get into webcam imaging and have a QC3000. Very interesting comparison. When I get some extra cash and time I will probably start looking for a TUC. I was surprised there was such a difference.
Thanks for the comparison !

Excellent comparison shot Chote.

I seem to notice that the image from the ToUcam just slightly smaller that with the Quickcam? Does this arise from the differing focal planes?

Hello everybody,

well assuming the focus was just as good for both images, I do agree that the QC colors look more realistic, but the Toucam image is much more detailed. Furthermore there's 100 less images stacked in the Toucam's image.
So, even if I do respect Mark's 30+ years of experience, I cannot agree: in my experience colors can be adjusted, image quality can't.
I repeat: all this holds true if the assumption of equivalent focus quality is true.

However, thanks to Chote for posting these images and giving us the opportunity to see the results of this test.

Ciao
Luca
