just wondered what white balance setting you guys used on the toucams for planetary imaging. Spent an age last night playing with gamma/saturation etc. Trying to rediscover a perfect set of parameters I once used and have now forgotten!

Hello Eddie,

I usually leave the camera on auto for white balance and it has always worked for me. I do understand though what you mean since once I had the bad idea of playing a little with the white balance and was not able to return to the initial settings. However, I read somewhere (I believe it was on QCUIAG website) that it would be a good idea to do your white balancing on the moon in the auto mode and then save the parameters set by the auto balance and use those for all your planetary works. I always meant to do it, but I never needed to since, as you will see by the picture I will attach, the colors seem to be ok on my shots so I keep my fingers crossed and leave it as it is.

Ciao
Luca
