Inspired by Joe's image from yesterday, I wanted to give it a try. This is not easy to do! I got this image at 11:00 AM CDT today, with my ED80, a 2x barlow, and a ToUcam. We had very hazy skies, and less than an hour after I got this it was 100% cloudy. With the haze and Venus so close to the Sun, it took a while to find it through the eyepiece even though it was near the center of the field. I had to look right at it to see it, sort of like trying to find it in the sky with the naked eye. The image was not at all stable; as Roland suggested, it was boiling. This is 150/1200 frames stacked with Registax, and contrast enhanced with PSCS3.
