In case you haven't seen WcCtrl by Martin Burri, you might wish to try this cool little program:

http://www.burri-web.org/bm98/soft/wcctrl/screens.htm

1. Adjust on Fly - adjust your webcam's settings realtime, no more
selecting and closing the Video Properties and Video Format
screens. Once more, WcCtrl lumps the important settings into one
tab...Also, you will see analog values like "53%" next to the slider
instead of sort-of-guessing at the slider value.
2. Save Settings - save your webcam setting values to a log file for future reference or even use pre-selected favorite settings.

Best,

Very interesting tip Dwight. Thank you very much. I always hated to keep on changing the different tabs to control the camera.

I've noticed that there is also a software to allow an unmodified Toucam to take long exposures: I guess I gotta try that too!

Ciao and thanks again for the info.
