actually had a chance to get the scope out after 2 months plus+ and had a weird focusing issue with the green filter.
i could get a great focus, i use a robofocus attached to my AT1010 focus knob, in red and blue, nice and tight focus Maxdl/ccd said about 1.89 1/2Flux Dia. but the green i couldn't seem to get to focus??? last night setup was an ST7E w/ CFW8A on a Stellervue AT1010. any ideas anyone? thx!

That's kind of odd. Most refractors are optimized especially well in green; I would expect xcellent focus there of all places.

Brian, like ron said, that is kind of odd. Best thing I could suggest is to look at the 'seemingly too simple to look at' things. have you imaged successfully with this setup before? what order did you shoot your colors (possibly temporary very thin cloud?)? reversed blue/green filter settings in Maxim? perhaps a fogged filter? Did you try to refine focus manually with the handbox control? how light polluted are you; most light pollution shows in green images, maybe it was fooling Maxim into thinking the stars were bigger than they were. I dunno, never heard of an issue like this before (in green that is).
