From last Friday. Modified Nikon D50 on an Orion ED80, 5 x 10min, 4 x 5min, 4 2 min, 4 x 1 min, 4 x 30s, ISO 1600. This is cropped to a 4x3 ratio. Thanks for looking, comments welcome.

Great contrast control here. (And not too late for 42.) I like that you could use all the various exposure times. Is that something you just plug into a program and it compensates automatically? Or do you have to layer tediously in Photoshop? I have tried somewhat successfully with only two different times, but you have lots there.

Even though our good friend Alex said "...there are some people out there think the guy who really needs to get a life is the astroimager out there spending ten thousand dollars on equipment to take the ten millionth picture of M42......" I'm going to post another version of the same M42, my 10,000,001st. I make no claim about having a life. 8) This one is not as harsh, or as saturated. I got carried away on the first one with the high-pass filter stuff. Again, thanks, and comments are welcome.
