Eye-Fi cards

I bumped into a write-up on Eye-Fi WIFI capable SD cards. Never seen one in action.

Anybody use one of these? (Transcend also makes them AFAIK.)

As far as I can tell, you stick this card into your DSLR and it will send each image (once captured) from your DSLR to your laptop (no wire connection needed). You need to download the app from Eye-Fi onto your laptop and the laptop must be WIFI capable.

That is what I understand.

You can get one of these things cheap:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/SanDisk-8GB-Eye-Fi-Wireless-SD-Card-8G-WIFI-SD-Card-Class-4-For-Canon-Nikon-SONY-/221834415694?hash=item33a65c8e4e:g:vcYAAOxynwlTccFb

Since I'm pursuing the mirrorless camera idea, this seems like a cheap way to get a WIFI capable camera with a sensitive sensor. I'm particularly thinking of trying a Sony Nex-5N.

If you have any experience with these, let me know. Thanks.

Clears,
Joe
