Hey guys, there`s a question i want to ask: i`ve always heard in various foruns that for astrophotografy canon is the right choice, but i have never see no one post or talk about taking astrophotos with a pentax camera! So my question is: would you think that a K110D or a K100D with shake reduction do the same as a canon XT or XTi camera? It`s because from where i am standing the canon is about $100 or a little more expensive! Thanks,Emanuel

I was hoping that someone with firsthand experience with these cameras would answer your question, I'll offer my opinion though. Looking at the noise data on dpreview.com it looks like the pentax cameras have a bit more noise than the Canon cameras. I'm not aware of any third party options for controling the Pentax cameras from a laptop. In general, the small 10MP chips have more noise and are less disireable for astrophotography than the smaller 6 & 8 MP ones.
