White balance when taking astro photos

I currently use a Canon 10d (unmodified) to take photos with my C8 and Meade 14. I shoot in raw mode. I have not heard how to set the white balance when taking the photos. I know that you can change the color temp when processing the images. Is there a standard color temp that I should use or a white balance setting that would be the best?

Thanks

If I recall correctly (it has been a while...)

a) A tungsten white balance gives you better star colours.

and

b) I don't think that there is a way to set the white balance when the camera captures in RAW format. Instead, convert your RAWS in Images Plus not the Canon Software. It's a great program and does Raw conversion better than Canon Software. When you do the conversion, you have a choice of colour temperature.
