This was my first attemp of taking a picture of Saturn on 8 Mar 2003. LX200 10" GPS with an Olympus OM-1 Prime focus with a 9.7mm lens. 3 Sec exposure. Don't laugh I'm still trying to figure this stuff out. Tell me what ya think please. Any pointers would be appreciated.

1st: Make sure you use the mirror lock up and use the "Hat trick method"
2nd: The shorter the exposure, the better chance to have a "hole" in the turbulence = better image (exp.usually 1 sec.)
Third: Saturn high at sunset is a very difficult target to shoot as any planets.
Try 4 a.m. throught haze and fog (typical northeast)and no wind.
Make sure you post the masterpieces.
